Ireland beat Zimbabwe by 6 wickets to level the ODI series on Sunday (February 17) in Harare. Mark Adair's four wickets and three wickets from Curtis Campher folded Zimbabwe for a paltry 245 runs. In reply, Paul Stirling made 89 to steer Ireland home.
Being inserted to bat first, Zimbabwean opening batters Brian Bennett and Ben Curran added 38 runs before Andy McBrine knocked over Curran on 18 off 36 balls. Joshua Little then chopped on skipper Craig Ervine as Zimbabwe fell further in trouble. Wessley Madhvere and Sikandar Raza then stitched a superb 74-run stand off only 99 deliveries. Along with the partnership both of them notched up their fifties before their departures.
But wickets kept tumbling but Wellington Masakadza made 35 off 35 deliveries as Zimbabwe were folded for 245 runs.
Mark Adair picked up four wickets, while Curtis Campher was supporting him incredibly with three wickets.
In reply, Blessing Muzarabani removed Andrew Balbirnie earlier on. But skipper Paul Stirling and Curtis Campher made a fantastic partnership of 143 runs, and the duo changed the entire course of the game as both of them added fifties as well. Stirling was 11 short of his hundred, while Campher made 63 runs. At the backend of the innings, wicketkeeper batter Lorcan Tucker made a crispy 36* off 48 balls to steer his side home.
