Cricket South Africa (CSA) is organizing a culture camp for 32 players as allegations of racist behavior continue to grow in South African cricket. The camp will begin next week at Kruger National Park.
In addition to team performances, workshops will be held on the playing environment and fraternal behavior with each other.
CSA has decided to hold this culture camp as a continuation of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement that started in the United States. Twenty-four players wore black armbands in the three-team cricket 'Three TC' in South Africa last month in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
It was at that tournament that established cricketers like Thami Tsolekile, Ashwell Prince and Makhaya Ntini opened up about their racist treatment. Which had been a big blow to CSA cricket director Graeme Smith. He said he was not aware of the matter at all. Therefore, it has been decided to hold another culture camp after 2010 to stop these racist practices.
