Bangladesh have beaten Sri Lanka by 8 wickets on Wednesday (6th March) and levelled up the series by 1-1. Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto's unbeaten 53 off just 38 balls and Shoriful Islam's economical spell thumped Sri Lanka in the second T20I. Najmul Hossain Shanto is confident about winning the T20I series.
Sri Lanka batted first and posted 165 on the board in the alloted 20 overs, what Bangladesh chased down with 11 balls to spare and 8 wickets in hands. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto drove his side to the safe shore, while he got aids from his openers as they added 67 runs on the opening stand. And also was well supported by Towhid Hridoy, with whom Shanto stitched a match turning 87* run stand.
"Obviously I think we've made a great comeback. I'm thinking positive. We've to come with good plans in the next match and the plans should be executed. If we can then good result will happen in Sha Allah."
On the last match's loss and today's win Shanto said : "Obviously that's important. We played good Cricket in the last match as well. We lost the match in the last over. I don’t think there was much lacking. I felt good that everyone is trying to do something good for the team. That's why I didn’t want to change any of members from coaching stuff. That obviously helped us."
Shanto on choosing chase everytime said :
"Chasing is always difficult in these conditions. We're doing this consistently, and we can keep continuing this that'll help us when we will play against big giants. So we'll try to keep chasing good totals."
