Shane Dowrich sues Cricket West Indies for loss of earnings

Dowrich suffered a finger injury during the tour of New Zealand in 2020. He was then allowed to leave New Zealand before completing the tour due to personal reasons. However, Dowrich claims that Cricket West Indies has not made any inquiry regarding whether he is ready to play again after personal reasons.
Even the board's contract with him was canceled. Claiming that he had a one-and-a-half million dollar contract with the West Indies Cricket Board at that time, Dowrich said that he had to face a huge financial loss due to the cancellation of the contract.
Dowrich claimed that he will not be considered to play Tests for the West Indies from February 2021 to August 2022, the decision taken by the board was not correct. CBC Barbados confirmed the filing of his case.
Shane Dowrich has played 35 Tests for the West Indies. And played one ODI for the country in his international career. He was called up for the ODI series against England in November last year. But Shane Dowrich suddenly announced his retirement from international cricket before the start of the series.
