Teams have till May 25 to make any changes to their squads, and this series will provide them with a perfect chance to test their teams. All three participating teams are expected to play in the 2017 T20 World Cup.
With just two changes by Cricket Scotland, the Scotland team for the next T20I tri-series included nearly all of the players from the last T20I series against the UAE. Due to an injury he suffered during the previous series, Andrew Umeed, who was a member of the T20I team for the UAE series, was not selected for the T20I tri-series. Charlie Tear, a 19-year-old hitter who shows promise, has been called up to the Scotland team to replace Umeed. In March, Tear made his debut for his country, the UAE. James Dickinson, a spinner who made his debut against the UAE but only appeared in one game, is another noteworthy absence.
