Sam Konstas is back into the limelight after smashing a swashbuckling 90-ball hundred against an Indian attack which compromises Harshit Rana, Akash Deep, Mohammad Siraj, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja.
Konstas has been the talk of the summer after becoming the youngest ever to score twin hundreds in Sheffield Shield since Ricky Ponting.
He, however, was in the race to open the innings with Usman Khawaja along with veterans Marcus Harris and Cameron Bancroft and also young star Nathan McSweeney. But it was Nathan McSweeney who won the race.
"I really want the chance, I love being challenged and hopefully that can happen soon," Konstas said.
"I feel like I'm in a good headspace. It's been the best few months I've had, and hopefully one day I can represent my country.
"For me, it's focusing about Friday and then trying to score runs to put myself forward. It would be a huge honour to represent my country one day."
Konstas will face another tough challenge when he faces Western Australian pace attack which consists of Lance Morris and Joel Paris.
