There have been some massive movements in the latest ICC Men's Test batting rankings. Indian wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant and New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell have made big strides in the Test batting rankings.
Pant rises five places to sixth overall on the back of a dual half-centuries during the Test in Mumbai. Mitchell is one spot behind Pant and is on seventh position overall after his superb his eight-place rise and first innings score of 82 against India. Shubman Gill up for four places to 16th, following his lone hand 90 against the Kiwis in the first innings in Mumbai.
However, England's ace batter Joe Root maintains a healthy lead at the top of the table, with Kane Williamson (second), Harry Brook (third), Yashasvi Jaiswal (fourth) and Steve Smith (fifth) position.
Experienced Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja was the big strider on the latest rankings for Test bowlers, with the Indian left-armer claiming two places to move to sixth. While, Kagiso Rabada is standing tall on No. 1 after his standout performances in Bangladesh.
However, Kiwi spin duo Ajaz Patel (up 12 places to 22nd) and Ish Sodhi (up three rungs to equal 70th) are among the gainers from New Zealand.
West Indies' captain Shai Hope jumps five places on the list for ODI batters to move to 12th after his terrific 17th ODI century in the second match against England. In the ODI bowling rankings, Shaheen Afridi gains three places to move to fourth and Mitchell Starc improves four spots to move to 14th.
