South Africa beat Pakistan by 7 wickets to clinch the T20I series with one game to go. Saim Ayub's unbeaten 98* helped the visitors get to 205 on the board. In reply, Reeza Hendricks' fabulous 117* off 63 deliveries and Rassie Van Der Dussen's 66* off 38 aced the chase for the hosts.
Reeza Hendricks Opting to bat first, Mohammad Rizwan departed earlier. Saim Ayub, along with Babar Azam then stitched a partnership together at a decent run rate before all-rounder George Linde removed the latter one on 31 off 20 balls. Saim Ayub then took the onus on his shoulders as South Africa made a comeback with a cluster of wickets at the middle.
Saim Ayub smashed a flurry of boundaries, while losing partners. At the backend of the innings, he found Irfan Khan with him as the lower order plundered 30 off 16 deliveries and Saim Ayub smashed an unbeaten 98* off 57 balls to help their side get to a massive 205 on the board.
In reply, Ryan Rickelton and wicketkeeper batter Breetzke both departed chaply for South Africa. But opener Reeza Hendricks and Rassie Van Der Dussen held on there. And the duo tore apart the Pakistani bowlers as they were smashing sixes for fun. Reeza Hendricks brought up a sensational hundred and departed finally after scoring a swashbuckling 117 off 63 balls but the destruction was already done then.
Van der Dussen remained unbeaten on 66* off 38 balls as the Proteas clinched the series with one game to go.
