In the record-breaking day of pacer Deepak Chahar, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also set an unbeatable milestone in the last and third T20 against Bangladesh in Nagpur on Sunday. He became the third Indian bowler to take 50 wickets in international T20 cricket. Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah added such milestone to their name.
Chahal is the fastest bowler to take fifty international T20 wickets among the Indians. Bumrah took 41 matches and Ashwin took 42 matches to reach that landmark. Chahal achieved that feat in only 34 matches. Among all, Chahal has been the fifth fastest bowler in T20I history to take fifty wickets.
In the meantime, Indian young pacer Deepak Chahar did the impossible things possible in the same match against Bangladesh. He did everything possible for a bowler in a T20 match. Meeting the demands of the captain, to stop the opponent's wheel, take timely wickets and fulfill the dream of perfect hat-trick – Chahar did all possible things in the match.
India's right-arm pacer Deepak Chahar has made his name in the world record book by doing so much in the same match. In the last match of the series, he dismissed Bangladesh's batting lineup alone and took 6 wickets for only 7 runs. Chahar’s bowling figure in the match was 3.2-0-7-6!
There is no record of anyone taking 6 wickets in such a low run in international T20 cricket. And so Chahar produced the best T20I figures in history.
spinner Ajantha Mendis held the world record with 6 wickets for 8 runs so far. This time, Chahar surpassed him with a majestic bowling figure.
Chahar also picked up a hat-trick in international T20 cricket as India's first and the world's 11th bowler. Also he averaged just 1.16 in taking those six wickets, which has been listed in the record book at third among all Test playing nations.
