Ravi Shastri tested positive for COVID-19 in lateral flow test

India head coach Ravi Shastri has been tested positive for COVID-19 in the lateral flow test conducted on day three evening of the fourth Test.
The fourth Test between England and India is on floors now at Oval, London. With two more days of play left in the Test, a COVID-19 scare has hit by the visitors' side. India head coach Ravi Shastri has been tested positive for COVID-19 in the lateral flow test.
The regular lateral flow test returns positive for the Indian head coach on day three evening of the fourth Test at Oval. As a precautionary measure, four members of the Indian support staff panel have been isolated and they have undergone RT-PCR tests.
"The BCCI Medical Team has isolated Mr Ravi Shastri, Head Coach, Mr B. Arun, Bowling Coach, Mr R. Sridhar, Fielding Coach and Mr Nitin Patel, Physiotherapist as a precautionary measure after Mr Shastri’s lateral flow test returned positive last evening," BCCI quoted in an official statement.
However the day four play will go as per plans since all the players have returned negative in the lateral flow tests conducted on day three evening and day four morning. The support staff members in isolation will join the team according to the results from RT-PCR tests.
