Bangladesh have a lead of 30 runs after the day 3 in Mirpur. Another bad light happened in the match and the match time reduced for this reason. Glenn Phillips fighting 87 helped New Zealand having a slender lead of 8 runs, and Bangladesh lost 2 wickets with a lead of 30 runs.
Earlier the day, due to drizzles the match didn’t start on right time. After the start of the match, Bangladesh got two back to back wickets and were eyeing for big lead.
But Glenn Phillips came out of nowhere and reduced the deficit. His blinder knock of 87 off only 72 deliveries helped New Zealand have a lead of 8 runs. Philipps got a hand from Kyle Jamieson as well, who scored a gutsy 20 off 28 balls.
In reply, Bangladesh started scratchily as they lost Mahmudul Hasan Joy earlier of the innings. Ajaz Patel gave New Zealand the first breakthrough. Najmul Shanto gave Bangladesh a positive start but Kiwi skipper Tim Southee strangled him and got him out for 15 off 24. Bangladesh were left crumbling on 38-2, with a lead of 30 runs.
And then bad light happened. And the umpires waited for a while but the situation didn't update and match referee had to call stumps yet again.
