The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) updated about the health status of injured pacers Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain and Ihsanullah and said the trio needs to be rehabilitated.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released an update on injuries to three fast bowlers Ihsanullah, Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday gave an update on Pakistan's fast bowler trio Naseem Shah, Mohammad Hasnain and Ihsanullah and said the pacers require rehabilitation to fully recover from their injuries.
Mohammad Hasnain
Hasnain has been undergoing a rehabilitation process since September 13, the board said.
Ihsanullah
Ihsanullah, who played in one ODI and four T20Is for Pakistan, suffered an elbow injury. The 20-year-old has been ruled out of international cricket since playing for Pakistan in the ODI series at home against New Zealand in April this year.
Ihsanullah had to undergo surgery at a private hospital in Lahore. In the first week of September, a doctor was flown in from England to operate on Ihsanullah.
Following the operation, the fast bowler was fitted with an elbow brace for four weeks, with daily care from a doctor and a physiotherapist. His condition is satisfactory and the braces will be removed at the end of the fifth week. He will then continue his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
Naseem Shah
The 20-year-old pacer suffered a muscle injury just under his bowling shoulder in the 46th over of Pakistan's second match against India in the 2023 Asia Cup last month and is not a recurrence of previous shoulder injuries.
The pacer underwent successful shoulder surgery early last week, remained completely stable and was discharged from the hospital the next day, the PCB said.
According to the board, Naseem will be supervised by two physiotherapists during his rehabilitation both at the training ground and in the gym.
The fast bowler is being monitored continuously and is expected to see the doctor who operated on him in the third week of October.
