Pakistan defeated Namibia by 45 runs in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 to secure a berth in the semi-finals as the first team in the tournament. Pakistan are on an incredible run, winning four consecutive matches, and are more than likely to top Group 2 of the Super 12 in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

Pakistan decided to bat before winning the toss. The pair of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, despite making a slow start, gave Pakistan a solid foundation with their opening stand. Babar and Rizwan added 113 runs in the opening partnership, making the Namibian bowling attack look toothless.

Babar was dismissed after playing a great innings of 70 off 49 balls off David Wiese. However, Rizwan, who was extremely slow in the beginning, ripped apart the bowling attack in the death overs. He finished with an unbeaten 79 runs knock, taking 24 runs in the final over. Mohammad Hafeez was also unstoppable in the death, scoring a quick 32 of only 16 deliveries to take Pakistan to 189/2.

Despite the big target, the Namibian batsmen tried to apply pressure on Pakistan from the beginning. Stephen Baard and Craig Williams added 47 runs for the second wicket when the first wicket fell for 6 runs.

Baard was run out by Haris Rauf with a great throw. After losing the team's opener, Namibia' progress became slow. Namibia tried to close the gap without losing wickets to the Pakistani bowlers. Williams returned to the dressing room with an individual score of 40. After his departure, David Wiese took on the responsibility of bridging the gap of defeat.

In the end, Namibia had to stop with 144 runs. Wiese remained unbeaten on 43 off 31 balls. Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Harris Rauf and Shadab Khan took one wicket each for Pakistan.
