No Bangladeshi cricketers picked in The Hundred 2025 draft
With a starting price of £120,000, Shakib Al Hasan was the most expensive Bangladeshi player, even though he was suspended for bowling. Young leg-spinner Rishad Hossain had a starting price of £63,000, but neither of them got a team.

Even though The Hundred has been on for several seasons, no Bangladeshi cricketer has yet made it to the famous English 100-ball event. Again, 28 Bangladeshi players signed up for the 2025 draft, but none of them were picked by a team.
With a starting price of £120,000, Shakib Al Hasan was the most expensive Bangladeshi player, even though he was suspended for bowling. Young leg-spinner Rishad Hossain had a starting price of £63,000, but neither of them got a team. Nahid Rana, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Mahedi Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, and Litton Das were some of the other well-known players in the draft. Twenty Bangladeshi players also signed up without a starting price. These players include Shamim Hossain Patwari, Afif Hossain, Zakir Ali Anik, Anamul Haque Bijoy, and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
The draft took place on March 12, and teams are now finalising their teams for the event that starts on August 5. David Warner, Michael Bracewell, and Rachin Ravindra are just a few of the famous international cricketers who have signed rich contracts. Kane Williamson, Mitchell Santner, David Miller, and Marcus Stoinis are some of the other big players in the field.
It's interesting that none of the 45 Pakistani players who signed up were chosen.
One big change this year is that four clubs have new owners. IPL teams have taken over several The Hundred teams, which means that the tournament's finances and strategies have changed in a big way.
