However, with lower-order runs gaining importance in modern cricket, Bangladeshi bowlers are now focusing on contributing with the bat as well. Ahead of the Chattogram Test against South Africa, Nayeem Hasan spoke about his determination to make a difference as a lower-order batter.

In a recent press talk, Nayeem explained his mindset, saying, “When I go to bat, I try to think of myself as a batter. My aim is to add as many runs as possible for the team. When lower-order partnerships build up, it disrupts the opposition’s momentum. A solid stand at the end can completely shift the game’s trajectory.”

He is keen to play a decisive role in the Chattogram Test and dreams of helping Bangladesh secure a win against South Africa. “Inshallah, I don’t want to miss this opportunity.
