Najmul Hossain Shanto becomes father of a baby boy on his birthday

Bangladesh top-order batter Najmul Hossain Shanto has turned 25 on Friday (August 25) and received his best birthday gift this morning. He becomes the father of a baby boy. Shanto himself announced it on Friday through social media.
The left-handed batter becomes the father of his first son. Shanto confirmed that both mother and son are healthy.
“Today (August 25, 2023) morning I have been blessed with a baby boy, Alhamdulillah. Both the mother and baby are doing well. Please keep my family in your prayers!,” Shanto confirms the news with a status on social media Facebook.
However, this is not the first time in Bangladesh cricket that a cricketer has become a father on his birthday. Earlier, former Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza also became a father on his birthday on October 5.
Shanto married in July 2020 with Sabrin Sultana Ratna at her home in Rajshahi during the lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is Shanto and Ratna's first child.
Shanto is currently preparing for the Asia Cup which is scheduled to be held on August 30. Bangladesh’s first match is against Sri Lanka on August 31.
