Bangladesh star pacer Mustafizur Rahman is still a major doubt for the second ODI against Zimbabwe. On the other hand, captain Tamim Iqbal has decided to play even though he did not feel comfortable playing in the first ODI with pain.
Tamim did not change his decision to play the entire ODI series due to the injury he carried from the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) last month.
While the left-arm pacer Mustafizur left the field with bowling just five balls during the practice match. It was already certain that he would not be able to play in the first ODI. However, the captain said that Mustafizur's chances of playing until the first match are 50-50. Tamim said the same thing the day before the second ODI.
He said, “I have already said about me more or less. I have play all the three ODIs with more or less risk. But I’m managing somehow. Liton’s condition is now much better than I know it to be. He may be able to play tomorrow. Mustafizur is still 50-50. I can say a little better this afternoon. Besides, everyone is fit.”
Bangladesh got a huge victory of 155 runs in the first ODI. The second ODI is scheduled to take place on Sunday (July 18).
