Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman has become a proud father to a baby boy. Mustafizur and his wife, Samia Parvin Shimul, welcomed their first child on Wednesday, a moment of great joy for the couple. The cricketer shared the happy news through a heartfelt Facebook post, expressing gratitude and asking for everyone’s blessings.

Mustafizur, known for his calm demeanor on and off the field, had opted out of the ongoing West Indies tour to be by his wife’s side during this special time. The decision proved timely, as he could witness the arrival of his baby boy.

In a Facebook post, Mustafizur shared: “Alhamdulillah! By the grace of almighty Allah today we are blessed with a baby boy. Both baby and mother are doing great. Keep them in your prayers.”

This marks a significant milestone for Mustafizur, who has been a vital part of Bangladesh cricket since his debut in 2015.

Mustafizur married Samia Parvin Shimul in 2019. Samia, a student at Dhaka University at the time, is also the daughter of Mustafizur’s maternal uncle, Rawnakul Islam. She completed her graduation after their marriage.

The couple’s journey reached a beautiful new chapter with the birth of their son. Mustafizur’s decision to prioritize family over cricket during this period reflects his commitment to his loved ones.

Mustafizur’s cricketing journey has been nothing short of remarkable. Making a sensational debut in 2015, the left-arm pacer quickly established himself as one of Bangladesh's key players. He has also participated in several top-tier franchise leagues worldwide.

Although Mustafizur was not part of the Test squad for the ongoing West Indies tour, he was expected to join the ODI team. However, his family commitments took precedence as he stayed back in Bangladesh.
