Former Indian captain and one of the greatest wicketkeepers in cricket history, MS Dhoni recently shared a humorous tale about a light-hearted cricket argument with his wife, Sakshi.

The two-time World Cup-winning captain, who is known for his quick reflexes and unparalleled skills behind the stumps, disclosed that despite his cricketing expertise, he found himself on the losing side of a debate with his wife Sakshi while they were watching an ODI match together.

"We were watching a game, probably an ODI. Usually, me and Sakshi don’t talk about cricket. But there was this moment when the bowler bowled a wide ball, and the batter stepped out and got stumped,” Dhoni said, setting the scene for the funny encounter.

As the umpires went to review the stumping dismissal, Sakshi Dhoni was confident the batsman would be declared "not out." She even pointed out, "It’s not out," just as the batter started walking off the field.

When the former CSK captain tried to explain that a stumping on a wide ball is indeed possible, Sakshi was having none of it. "You just see, they will call him back. You cannot get stumped on a wide ball," Sakshi said.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni explained to her that a batsman could be stumped off a wide ball but not a no-ball, yet Sakshi remained adamant in the debate.

"She was like, 'You don’t know anything. You just wait, the umpires will call him back,'" he shared, laughing. The situation became even hilarious when, as Dhoni described, “the batter was already close to the dugout” and the umpire finally adjudged him out. Sakshi quipped, “There is something wrong."
