The cricket world was praying hard for Tamim Iqbal to get better after his sudden heart attack, while his team, Mohammedan Sporting Club, won in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) game.  They beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by 7 runs, showing that they were strong and resilient even without their captain.

Shinepukur Cricket Club won the toss at BKSP's Ground 3 and decided to bat first.  Rana Sheikh (16 off 23) and Anik Sarker (22 off 28) got off to a good start, but they couldn't turn it into big scores.  While wickets kept falling at the other end, Rayan Rahman played a brave knock of 77 runs off 107 balls, which held the game together.

Shinepukur scored 200 runs with the help of Shoriful Islam's late fireworks. He hit 57 off of 69 balls.  After 49.5 overs, they were all out for 223.

Taijul Islam was Mohammedan's best bowler, with 3 wickets. Nasum Ahmed, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Mohammad Saifuddin all got 2 wickets each.  Mahmudullah Riyad had one wicket to his name.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Rony Talukdar were put in charge of opening the game since Tamim Iqbal was not available.  The first few overs were great, and the two of them worked together well, hitting fifty together.

Rony Talukdar played a controlled knock of 61 off of 86 balls, but Mehidy Hasan Miraz was on fire and hit the bowlers all over the pitch.  He worked hard to get to a well-deserved hundred and scored 103 off of just 86 balls before being out with the score at 164.

Mahidul Islam Ankon (27 off 33) and Mohammad Saifuddin (18* off 31) made sure there were no problems in the chase after Rony left.  Nasum Ahmed (13 off 18) joined Saifuddin to help Mohammedan win. They did it with 46 balls to spare.

Rahim Ahmed took two wickets for Shinepukur, and Rafi Uzzaman Rafi took one.
