Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been given green light to play the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 but only as a batter.
Mitchell Marsh Mitchell Marsh was sidelined from the high-octane Border-Gavaskar Trophy's fifth and final Test at the SCG due to a back injury, which ruled him out of the domestic season as well. He then missed Australia's Sri Lanka tour and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
While he is still not fit enough to bowl, he has been cleared to play as a specialist batter in the IPL for Lucknow Super Giants.
LSG bought him for INR 6.50 Crore at last year’s IPL mega auction, and he is expected to play a key role as a top-order batter. Marsh is expected to join LSG on March 18.
Mitchell Marsh last played an international white-ball game back in England in September 2024. And he was managing this disc problem since that UK tour.
