West Indies have won the toss and elected to bowl first against Bangladesh in the first T20I of the three-match series on Monday (December 16) at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent.

Bangladesh have gone for 3 pacer in the playing XI. In the absence of regular captain Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das will lead the side.

West Indies captain Rovman Powell said at the toss, "We are going to bowl first, looks a good surface. See how they bat on it and we have an approach how we can go about it. This series provides an opportunity for us to do well. 6 batters, Andre Fletcher is back. Romario the all-rounder. 2 left arm spinners and Alzarri to lead the attack."

Litton said at the toss, "We don't mind bowling second on this pitch. It looks a bit different than the T20 WC. 3 seamers, 2 spinners and 5 batters is our combination."
