Legends of Rupganj beat Shinepukur Cricket Club by 10 wickets in just 8.3 overs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday (March 10). The game didn't even last until the afternoon.

The Prime Bank Cricket Club set a new record with a score of 422, making it the best score in Bangladesh's List ‘A’ cricket the day before this defeat.  Shinepukur, on the other hand, made history the next day when they were bowled out for just 69 runs.

There were only 212 balls in the whole game, and Rupganj reached the goal in just 57 balls, winning with 243 balls left.  This is one of the most convincing wins in DPL history. However, Mohammedan Sporting Club still holds the record for the biggest win (by balls left), as they beat Gazi Tyres Cricket Academy by 40 runs last year and won with 262 balls to spare.

Shinepukur's batting order was completely destroyed by Rupganj's spin duo, Mahedi Hasan and Tanvir Islam, who won the toss and chose to bowl.  The openers put up some fight, but within 12 runs, five wickets fell, throwing them completely off track.

Tanvir Islam (3/12) and Rejaur Rahman Raja (3/17) tore through the middle and lower order, while Mahedi Hasan broke through.  Mahedi also got two wickets, which meant Shinepukur could never come back. Only three Shinepukur batters scored 10 or more runs, with Al Fahad, the No. 10 batter, getting the most with 13 runs.

It only took 70 runs for Rupganj to win, and their openers Tanzid Hasan Tamim and Saif Hassan made quick work of it.  They played so well that they got the target in just 8.3 overs.  Saif Hassan hit 39 off 37 balls (4 fours and 2 sixes) and stayed unbeaten. Tanzid hit 35 off 20 balls (4 fours and 1 six).

This is Rupganj's second 10-wicket win this season. The first was against Gazi Group Cricketers.
