New Zealand have stretched their further domination in for the Hamilton Test. Kane Williamson's massive 156 helped the hosts get to a mountainous 453 on the board. In reply, England lost two wickets in quick time as the visitors were left crumbling on 18-2 by the end of the stumps with Matt Henry and Tim Southee picking one wicket each.
England are on the verge of suffering a massive defeat in Hamilton.
The morning session was washed out due to heavy rain but once the rain stopped, Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra got a partnership going and stitched 107-run stand together. The latter one was out few short of his fifty but the former one made the most of the condition, smashing his 33rd Test hundred and notching up 150 in style as New Zealand kept pummeling the English bowlers.
At the backend of the innings, Kiwis lower order batters kept trouncing the English bowlers which were itching the the visitors, especially wicketkeeper batter Tom Blundell blasted 44* off 55 balls and Mitchell Santner smacked 49 off 38 deliveries as the Blackcaps added 657 runs lead.
In reply, Tim Southee knocked over Ben Duckett, while Matt Henry had Zak Crawley as the visitors were left succumbing on 18-2, needing a mammoth 640 runs.
