South Africa achieved a comprehensive victory against Bangladesh, winning the second Test by an innings and 273 runs and sealing a 2-0 series whitewash. Aiden Markram, the winning captain, expressed immense pride in his team’s performance, which was marked by several standout contributions and hard-earned maiden centuries.
"Incredibly proud," said Markram post-match. "Hard work went into it and good to see the hard work paid off. We played some really good cricket, considering the conditions we are not used to. (Three maiden centuries in the second Test) That was special. The three of them to get stuck in when it was tough to score at times... to get the team in a strong position was immense. They could've been satisfied getting to eighty but they pushed on for the team."

Reflecting on the team’s bowling success, Markram added, "Bowlers work really well together. Taking wickets with the new ball, no matter where you play, is important. KG was special. Then others made the impact. Overall, all three facets of the game - really proud."
With the World Test Championship in mind, South Africa’s captain expressed hope and motivation to reach the final, remarking, "Long way away but to be in the mix for the finals is what's driving us. Taking it Test match at a time."
