India posted a massive 196 on the board against Bangladesh. Hardik Pandya's blistering fifty, Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dube and Virat Kohli's mid 30's helped them get to this huge total. For Bangladesh, Tanzim Hasan Sakib bowled an exceptional spell but other bowlers leaked away too many runs on the decent surface in Antigua.
Being asked to bat first, India had a terrific start. Both the openers Rohit and Kohli gave them a flying start, smashing the Bangladeshi bowlers from black and blue. However, Shakib Al Hasan removed Rohit in his second over.
Kohli was on his rhythm and was playing smoothly and was ticking the scoreboard before Tanzim Hasan Sakib came in and knocked him over for 37, in the next delivery he was sent for a six from Suryakumar Yadav but he got him out too.
But Mustafizur Rahman gave away 14 runs in the next over to Rishabh Pant to brought India back into the game again.
Rishad Hossain was smashed but he removed Pant against the run of play. Hardik Pandya came in and bludgeoned Bangladeshi bowlers at ease. He single handedly demolished Bangladeshi bowlers in the death overs and raced his way to a quick-fire 50* off just 27 deliveries.
Tanzim Hasan Sakib was the standout bowler for Bangladesh as he picked up 2 wickets at an economy rate of only 8. While the other bowlers went over 10 economy.
