At the award ceremony after the match, Shanto said, “All credit goes to the cricketers, especially Taijul (Islam), Nayeem (Hasan), Shoriful (Islam) and Mehidy (Hasan Miraz). Everyone enjoyed this match very much. We were not too worried about the results. There was an opportunity in front of the youngsters to win the match with good results. We could have scored more than 50 runs in the first innings but the bowlers made up for it. The batters will have to take more responsibility in the next match, it will help us. Besides, Shanto spoke strongly about winning the series in the press conference after the match. He added, “We are playing in our conditions. With the strength we have in bowling-batting fielding, I think it is possible to win this series. Although there is one match left, half the work is done. The second Test of the series will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on December 6.
