"Hey guys! I need a new bat," She said, “Nah, nah, it’s all right. It’s a broken handle. Stuff it, I’ll still hit it.” when asked if she needed it right away.
Laughter rolled in the commentary room at such an incident of Harris. Apart from that, the rest of the cricketers on the field and Harris himself also had a lot of fun. Everyone laughed happily at the intensity of the incident.
Even though the bat was broken, Grace Harris won the match for the team. Brisbane after going down to bat first, collected 229 runs after losing 7 wickets. Of these, Harris alone scored 136. Harris played an explosive innings of 136 runs from just 59 balls with aggressive batting throughout the innings. This is the second-highest innings in women's Big Bash history.
Perth Scorchers were not able to chase this mountain of runs. Perth Scorchers put up a collection of 179 runs after losing 8 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Harris's Brisbane won the match by 50 runs.
