Embarrassed PCB launches inquiry on 'Biscuit Trophy' saga

Trolled across the social media, PCB embarrassed about the recent biscuit shaped trophy of the T20I series between Pakistan and Australia and now has launched an inquiry to find out the think tank working behind that. People over poured social media with jokes ridiculing the PCB after a biscuit-shaped trophy was unveiled for the series earlier this month that Pakistan won 3-0. Following the unveiling, ICC shared the photo of the two captains Aaron Finch and Sarfraz Ahmed with the trophy and a caption, which read, “Giving taking the biscuit a whole new meaning.” However, the hilarious gestures did not end there as ICC came back to tweet ‘You vs the trophy she told you not to worry about’ that has been trending on the internet. Even people started creating images of what the World Cup trophy would look like if it was made by the same creators by sharing a pile of biscuits.

"The silverware was an embarrassment for us and investigation is being held as to how the concerned department allowed this to happen," a PCB official said.

The biscuit trophy inflicted further chaos, reports said the head of PCB's marketing department, Naila Bhatti, has now resigned over the incident. The PCB official subsequently said they are planning a revamp in its marketing department. The source further said the Board has ordered the inquiry into the functioning of its marketing department, which currently has 13 members.
