Bangladesh pacer Ebadot Hossain has been out of the field for a long time due to a knee injury. He could not play in the ODI World Cup. It is taking more time to return to the field because of the surgery.

Ebadot became a regular face in the Bangladesh jersey in all three formats. But now he is away from the game due to injury. This year there is also the T20 World Cup. Speaking to the media today (January 13), Ebadot expressed his desire to return to the field before the World Cup.

Ebadot told the media, “I am not in a hurry either. The most important thing is to follow the process very well. I am having my feet measured tomorrow. Alhamdulillah recovered well. The doctor is also happy. I am getting the results of my hard work.”

He added, “Bowling has not started yet. Running will start slowly then bowling. (Does it hurt to see someone bowling around) is it not normal? As a cricketer, not being able to play is a pain. That they are bowling, can play, I can't. It's going to be difficult, it seems that the ball is holding a little.”

In response to the question of when he will return to the field, Ebadot further said, “I hope to return before the World Cup, InshaAllah. Pray for me.”

Ebadot did not play in last year's Asia Cup and World Cup due to injury. It was reported that it would take 6-8 months to return to the field due to the ACL injury. The T20 World Cup will be held in the West Indies and the United States next June.
