Dimuth Karunaratne fifty helps Sri Lanka finish day 2 on 119-5 with a lead of 211
Nightwatchman Taijul Islam's gutsy 47 was the only innings which gave Bangladesh some substantial runs, barring him no one from the top or middle order stood tall for them and hence they were bowled for a measly 188 runs. And then fifty from Karunaratne gave Sri Lanka a boost up in the second innings.

Sri Lanka have scored 119-5 and are ahead of Bangladesh by 211 runs.
Earlier the morning, Bangladesh were crumbling on 32-3. Sri Lanka had a productive morning session as they picked up more three wickets. Lahiru Kumara was the one who to do all the damage, he strangled behind Dipu and Joy and then sent Litton's stumps for a walk. Taijul Islam, the nightwatchman, has resisted well though. He held one end and went for scoring his career best 47 off 80 balls, which also was the highest score of Bangladesh innings.
After the departure of Taijul, Bangladesh barely had anyone left in the dugout to come and fightback. But Khaled Ahmed showed lot of courage and smacked 2 sixes off Prabath Jayasuriya's over and gave Bangladesh some vital runs at the backend of the innings. But Sri Lankan pacers were relentless on their line and length and went for short ball barrage for the tailender. Bangladesh were bowled for 188 runs and are behind of Sri Lanka by 92 runs.
Vishwa Fernando was the pick of the bowlers for Sri Lanka as he had a 4 - fer. While kasun Rajitha and Lahiru Kumara shared 3 wickets each.
Sri Lanka coming to bat first, Nahid Rana was steaming in and out to beat the batter. And immediately he got his rewards. He removed opener Nishan Madhushka and wk batter Kusal Mendis. Taijul Islam got Angelo Mathews, while Mehdy Hasan Miraz had Dinesh Chandimal for a duck and Sri Lanka were stuttering on 64-4.
However, a brilliant fifty from Dimuth Karunaratne gave Sri Lanka a boost up after the initial blow.
Sri Lanka are now 119-5, effectively 211-5. They'll be eyeing to score 300+ in this pitch. The condition is deteriorating as the day goes far. So anything over 250 will be challenging for Bangladesh to chase down.
