South Africa have topped the second day of Centurion Test. Aiden Markram's superb 89, along with debutant Corbin Bosch's incredible 81* off only 93 deliveries helped South Africa get a vital lead of 90 runs. And then Marco Jansen's double blow left Pakistan stutter on 88-3.
Coming out to bat earlier the day, Temba Bavuma departed on 31 off 74 deliveries. David Bedingham then partnered up with Aiden Markram as the duo stitched a little partnership together before the former one fell to Naseem Shah on 30.
Aiden Markram departed only 11 short of century and South Africa were in all sorts of trouble. But it was the debutant Corbin Bosch, who put on a show, smashing a sensational 81* off just 93 deliveries, bludgeoning 15 boundaries and helped the Proteas get a crucial 90 runs lead.
In reply, Pakistan had a good start as the opening duo, Saim Ayub and skipper Shan Masood combined together for a 49 runs stand before Kagiso Rabada's peach of a delivery knocked Saim Ayub over after his quick-fire 27 off 36 balls.
Shan Masood too fell after his 28 as Pakistan fell in further trouble. The ultimate damage came in when Marco Jansen removed their in form Kamran Ghulam cheaply and Pakistan left in all sorts of trouble.
Pakistan are on 88-3 and trailing South Africa by 2 runs. They've 7 more wickets in their hands and also have Babar Azam on crease. They'll be hoping to have a big score from Babar to help Pakistan get them to a defendable total.
