Colin Munro is under the consideration to be in the squad of New Zealand for the upcoming T20 world cup which commences from 1st June in the USA and West Indies.

Colin Munro, the left hand destructive opener didn’t feature New Zealand since 2020 after losing his central contract. And previously addressed his disappointment on being left out from 2021 T20 world cup squad. But at the age of 37, he's under the radar of New Zealand board to be added in the squad for upcoming T20 world cup.
"We got in touch with Colin. He's obviously been in fine form for the last few years in various competitions around the world and, in particular, has an excellent record in the Caribbean Premier League," Wells said. "He made himself unavailable for this tour but he's potentially still an option."
New Zealand have a plenty of options at the top order with Devon Conway, Fin Allen and newly added firework Rachin Ravindra but Wells thinks if anyone gets injured Munro could be a great option for the Kiwis.
"I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to work out that our top order is relatively settled," Wells said, "but if anything were to happen with injuries and what-not, he's still an option for us."
Colin Munro played 65 T20I's for New Zealand and scored 1,724 runs at an average of 31.35 and a jaw dropping strike rate of 156.44. He has 11 half centuries and 3 hundreds to his name in the shortest version of the game.
