Clinical Pakistan clinch an ODI series in Australia for the first time since 2002
Three wickets each from Pakistan quicks Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi helped them restrict Australia for a paltry 140 runs. In reply, Saim Ayub's 40's and Abdullah Shafique's 30's helped them ace the chase comfortably.

Pakistan thrashed Australia by 8 wickets on Sunday (November 10) at Optus Stadium, Perth to clinch the ODI series by 2-1. Three wickets each from Pakistan quicks Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi helped them restrict Australia for a paltry 140 runs. In reply, Saim Ayub's 40's and Abdullah Shafique's 30's helped them ace the chase comfortably.
Opting to bowl first, Pakistan had a terrific start once again. Jake Fraser-McGurk edged to Naseem Shah and then Shaheen Afridi had Aaron Hardie, while Naseem removed Australia's skipper Josh Inglis cheaply. Australia were stuttering on 56-3.
Soon after Short's good start to had an end as he perished to Haris Rauf after 22 off 30 balls.
Australia then had mini collapse but Sean Abbott scored a fine 30 off 41 balls to help Australia get a slender 140 on the board.
In reply, Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique had another splendid partnership together as the duo added 84 runs off 104 balls and killed the chase inside the 20 overs. Lance Morris, however, picked up two wickets in an over but that didn’t stop Pakistan from chasing the total as Pakistan's star duo Babar Azam and skipper Mohammad Rizwan steered them home with a superb win.
This is Pakistan's maiden ODI series victory in Australia since 2002.
