The two brothers once played in the same team in the Indian national team, before that in Mumbai Indians. But the Pandya brothers took the field against each other on the IPL stage as the captains of their respective teams, creating history on Sunday (May 7).

Hardik's eyes burst with emotion before the start of the match. The father wanted the boys to be famous cricketers. He could not see it in his lifetime. On the contrary, the whole family is in a terrible state with his death. From there, the good days of the Pandyas returned by holding the hands of these two brothers. However, the Pandya brothers still cherish the memory of their father.

Before the start of the match, Hardik said, “Big, emotional day for the family, our father would have been proud. This is something that's happening for the first time. Short of words, but the family is proud.”

Krunal, however, ended the conversation with few words. He just said, “It's a dream come true. Once we go into the field, the game face will be on.”

Hardik Pandya is already leading Gujarat Titans, having also won the title last season. Due to KL Rahul's injury, Krunal Pandya is now the captain of Lucknow Super Giants. And the two brothers faced each other on Sunday (May 7), in a match where Hardik had the last laugh.

Despite losing, Krunal was satisfied for this moment. After the match, the elder brother said, “You don't dream of captaining your side in IPL or facing Hardik but the family is happy. Mom was saying two points will come home in the end anyway. There's so much of love between me and Hardik. There's leg pulling but it happens only a couple of minutes.”

Hardik, however, is not worried about his brother's loss. He just said, “I don't think there'll be bragging rights with Krunal. Our love is too strong, I hope he does well. I'd have been happier if things had gotten closer and he had some bragging rights too.”
