Bangladesh women’s cricket team sealed a morale-boosting 23-run victory against Pakistan in their second warm-up match for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup at ICC Academy, Dubai. After losing to Sri Lanka by 33 runs in the previous match, Nigar Sultana’s team bounced back with an improved batting and bowling performance, posting 140/7 and bowling out Pakistan for 117 in 18.4 overs.

Bangladesh got off to a flying start, scoring 33 runs in the first three overs. However, the middle-order struggled to maintain the momentum, with captain Nigar Sultana (18), Sobhana Mostary (15), and Taj Nehar (17) all failing to convert their starts. Opener Shathi Rani contributed 23 off 16 balls, hitting five boundaries.
Pakistan’s Omaima Sohail top-scored with 33 off 33 balls, but regular wickets and a climbing run rate made it difficult for them to keep up. Rabeya Khan’s two crucial wickets in the 18th over helped Bangladesh seal the win.
Bangladesh now look ahead to their opening match against Scotland on October 3, marking the beginning of their Women's T20 World Cup campaign. Bangladesh's remaining opponents in Group B include England, West Indies, and South Africa. Despite having won only two matches in the previous five editions, Bangladesh is hopeful for a better showing this time.
