Bangladesh’s national team cricketer Afif Hossain has embarked on a new journey in his personal life, welcoming twin daughters with his wife, Mehjabeen Ahmed. The joyous announcement was shared through a Facebook post by Afif himself, marking a special moment for the young cricketer.

Rising through Bangladesh’s age-level cricket and shining in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Afif joined the national team early in his career. Despite his fluctuating performance with the national squad, Afif remains a committed presence in domestic cricket and BPL matches. Now, he and his family have received an additional blessing with the arrival of their twin daughters.

Sharing his happiness on Facebook, Afif expressed, “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Almighty Allah, we are blessed with two beautiful baby girls! Our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy as we welcome our precious twins into the world. Please keep our family in your prayers as we begin this new chapter. Welcome to the world, little ones!”

Since his international debut in 2018, Afif has represented Bangladesh in 69 T20Is and 31 ODIs. His last appearance on the international stage was on December 31, 2023. With his impressive contributions to both domestic leagues and international games, Afif remains a valuable player for Bangladesh, now balancing his career with a new role as a father.
