Bangladesh ‘A’ women's team put on a commanding performance to beat Sri Lanka ‘A’ women’s team by 7 wickets in their own backyard. The hosts managed to post 113 runs after opting to bat first, but Bangladesh’s solid batting effort chased down the target with 12 balls to spare.

Bangladesh’s Rabeya Khan and Fahima Khatun were the standout bowlers, picking up two wickets each, helping restrict the opposition to a moderate score.
Bangladesh started their chase with a setback, losing opener Shamima Sultana in the first over. However, Dilara Akter and Murshida Khatun steadied the innings with a resilient partnership. Dilara played an aggressive knock, falling just short of her half-century, scoring 47 off 34 deliveries before being dismissed with the score at 77. Murshida supported her well with 30 runs from 34 balls.
After their dismissals, captain Nigar Sultana Joty (24* off 21 balls) and Ritu Moni (11* off 16 balls) comfortably saw Bangladesh home, ensuring victory with two overs to spare.
For Sri Lanka, Chethana Vimukthi and Nimesha Madushani took one wicket each, but their efforts were not enough to stop Bangladesh.
