Barishal’s Abdul Mazid scored a remarkable century on the fourth day of the National Cricket League (NCL) Round Two, helping his team declare at 287/3, with match results in two venues ending in draws due to rain interruptions. The matches saw mixed performances, with half-centuries from Salman Hossain and Naeem Islam, but the persistent rain prevented decisive outcomes.
In the first match at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna, Barishal resumed play on 28/0. Openers Iftakher Hossain Ifti and Abdul Mazid added 114 for the first wicket. Ifti was dismissed after scoring 43, but Mazid continued his dominance, reaching his century in a brilliant 134-run knock off 255 balls before retiring hurt. Salman contributed with a solid 73 from 119 balls, adding crucial runs before Barishal declared the innings at 287/3 after 96 overs. However, rain interruptions resulted in the game being declared a draw. Mazid’s innings earned him the "Player of the Match" award.
At BKSP Ground No. 3, Rangpur began their second innings against Dhaka Division, aiming to chase down a lead of 74 runs. They took a steady approach, reaching 165/7 in 101 overs before stumps, narrowly leading by 91 runs. Naeem Islam's patient 75 off 246 balls led the innings, while Chowdhury Mohammad Rizwan scored 32 off 97. However, despite the efforts, rain curtailed play, leaving the match without a result.
The first-round matches had already seen wins for Dhaka Metro and Sylhet Division. Both Round Two matches experienced a complete first-day washout, with no chance for any team to secure victory as rain continued into day four.
