Pakistan had a strong day in the Pink test's first day as they posted a competitive 313 runs on the board. Mohammad Rizwan's 88, lower order batter Aameer Jamal's blitzkrieg 82 and Agha Salman's fighting 53 helped Pakistan post 313 before bundling out.
In the morning session, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Coming out to bat they had a worst way to start the day as both of the openers went back to the hut without scoring anything. Skipper Shan Masood made 35 off 70 and Babar Azam looked in fine touch but again a troublesome delivery from Cummins got him out on 26.
Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman stitched a fine partnership of 94 runs before Agha got out to Starc after making a solid 53 off 67 deliveries. Mohammad Rizwan on the contrary scored a fighting 88 off 103 balls and kept Pakistan towards 250. But a late burst from Aamer Jamal gave Australia headache.
Aamer Jamal absolutely teared apart Aussies with his hammering boundaries everywhere. He raced to 82 off only 97 balls to take his side to 300 and helped to post 313 on the board.
Skipper Pat Cummins once again was the pick of the bowlers as he took another fifer in this innings and decimated the Pakistan top order. Apart from Cummins, no one really looked that threatening and hence Pakistan made 313 on the board.
