Middle order Bangladeshi batter Yasir Ali is poised to miss the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe as he recovers from a back injury.
Yasir was injured on June 10 during a three-day training match against the Cricket West Indies President's XI in Antigua. He was later eliminated from the series altogether after the MRI showed he had discogenic back pain in the lumbar spine.
Following his performance in the Premier League, Saifuddin was also called up for the West Indies Tour limited overs series. But those old backaches delayed his return even further.
"Yasir probably won't make it to the Zimbabwe tour but we expect he'll be in the Asian Cup," BCB selection panel member Habibul Bashar.
BCB chief medical officer Debashish Chowdhury told on Monday: "Let's see how he gets on with the rehabilitation program and we can call him later."

Meanwhile, pace bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin from Bangladesh said on Monday he was eyeing an international comeback through the upcoming Asia Cup. He feels he won't make the Zimbabwe tour.
Saifuddin has retired from international cricket since last year's ICC T20 World Cup, when he sustained a back injury and left the tournament midway. He returned to competitive cricket through the Dhaka Premier League, the country's traditional 50-over-Dhaka club-based tournament, and earned a place by appearing there, taking 22 wickets and scoring 220 runs.
"If everything goes according to plan, I will travel to India to assess my condition. I probably won't be considered for the Zimbabwe tour, but the selectors who called me asked me to keep the Asia Cup in mind when planning," Saifuddin told reporters at BCB in Mirpur on Monday.
