Former England skipper Michael Vaughan made the headlines after he took a swipe at Mickey Arther after the latter's recent remarks on the absence of Pakistani fans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Vaughan sarcastically added that Rohit Sharma told the DJ not to play “Dil, Dil, Pakistan” else Pakistan would win the game.

Team India were clinical across all three aspects of the game and as a result, they were able to churn out results in their favour at home. Pakistan cricket team were bowled out for 191 runs. On the other hand, Team India chased down the target without any fuss and won the game by 7 wickets.

At one stage, Pakistan were in a comfortable position at 155/2 and they were heading to posting a pretty decent total on the board but they ran through a sudden batting collapse and they didn't recover quickly before falling prey to the Indian bowlers.

It was after the game, Pakistan’s team director Arthur made a bizarre remark, adding that the India vs Pakistan clash looked more like a BCCI event instead of an ICC event. Furthermore, he also referred to not hearing chants of “Dil Dil Pakistan”.

Meanwhile, during a recent interaction with Australian legend Adam Gilchrist on a podcast, in which Michael Vaughan replied to Mickey Arthur’s comments in a sarcastic manner.

“Gilly, you are absolutely spot on about Rohit. His tactical awareness out in the middle, just managing the players, as you mentioned [Mohammed] Siraj, giving him an extra over just to give him a boost. But his best move without doubt, the move that won the game and the Pakistan coach alluded to it afterwards, is Rohit obviously said to the DJ, just do not play ‘Dil, Dil, Pakistan’," Vaughan added.

"If you play, Pakistan will win. Do not play that song. Make sure that they don’t hear that inspirational song. That was clever from Rohit. Most captains don’t think about things like that - DJs, music. Rohit is ahead of his time,” the former England captain concluded.
