Mark Wood made a remarkable comeback to the England Test team on Friday, July 19, during the second test match between England and the West Indies, which is currently taking place at Trent Bridge. Wood, who is famous for his lightning-fast pace, made an immediate impact by delivering thunderbolts.

On Day 2 of the match, Wood's fiery spell began, with his first over setting the tone for his performance. The clocked speed of all six deliveries in the over exceeded 92 mph. The first ball, clocked at 93.9 mph, saw West Indies opener Mikyle Louis managed to get two runs off it. With each delivery, the pace increased, with Wood reaching speeds of 96.1 mph on his second ball.

However, the highlight of Wood's spell came when he bowled a delivery at an astonishing 97.1 mph, leaving the crowd on their feet when they saw the speed displayed on the big screen.
