Lucknow Super Giants’ spinner Digvesh Rathi stole the spotlight with a unique celebration after dismissing Priyansh Arya during the IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

The moment came in the third over of Punjab’s run chase. Rathi bowled a short delivery outside off tempting Arya into a pull shot. However the Delhi batter mistimed it getting a top edge that safely landed in Shardul Thakur’s hands at mid-on.

Instead of a regular celebration Rathi pulled off the famous 'notebook celebration' pretending to jot something down on his hand. This move originally made famous by West Indies National Cricket Team pacer Kesrick Williams quickly caught the attention of fans and went viral on social media. However the on-field umpire immediately stepped in and warned Rathi for his actions.

Despite the early wicket Punjab Kings dominated the game thanks to solid performances from Prabhsimran Singh and Captain Shreyas Iyer both of whom scored half-centuries. Then later Nehal to Wadhera’s scored quick 43 runs helped PBKS chase the target comfortably securing an 8-wicket victory and extending their unbeaten streak in IPL 2025.
