Two representatives from Bangladesh will be part of the match umpiring team for the upcoming Women's ODI World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan.  The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced ahead of the event that Masudur Rahman Mukul and Shathira Jakir Jesy would be on the field as umpires.

Jesy will be officiating in an ICC game for the first time, and Mukul will continue his string of international duties. This is a big moment for the umpiring community in Bangladesh.

Six teams, including Bangladesh, will play each other three times in the Women's ODI World Cup Qualifiers.  The top two teams will secure their spots in the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup.

The ICC has hired 10 umpires and three match referees to ensure the event proceeds smoothly.  Masudur Rahman Mukul and Shathira Jakir Jesy are from Bangladesh.

Mukul has been an umpire for many ICC games and has also worked as a referee in the 2020 and 2024 U19 World Cups.  While Jesy has played in the Women's Asia Cup and gained experience, this will be her first time in an ICC game.

Umpires Faisal Khan Afridi and Saleema Imtiaz are both from Pakistan and are on the list of match officials.  In September 2024, Saleema made history when she became the first female umpire from Pakistan to be added to the ICC Development Panel.  She will now be a match official in the Women's World Cup Qualifiers.

The ODI World Cup Qualifiers for Women will be held in Pakistan from April 9 to April 19, 2025.
