Lokesh Rahul played extremely well in the second ODI against
at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Coming out to bat at No.4, Rahul began his innings at a sedate pace and then slowly switched gears to the next level.
He added a vital 121-run stand alongside his captain
in the 50-over format. Having played 37 ODIs for India, the right-handed batsman scored 1502 runs at an average of 50.07.
He smashed 5 centuries and 9 fifties to his name. Talking about the second ODI, Rahul was the top batsman in the game and apart from him,
scored an impressive 77 off 40 balls including 3 fours and 7 sixes at a strike-rate of 192.50. Virat Kohli scored 66 off 79 balls including 3 fours and a six.
Hardik Pandya provided sheer entertainment at the fag end of the innings as he struck 35 off 16 balls with 1 four and 4 sixes at a strike-rate of 218.75. India posted a massive total of 336/6 in 50 overs.
