Afghanistan’s head coach Jonathan Trott expressed his excitement about the growing rivalry between the two teams. At the post-match press conference, he said, "It’s great fun. Bangladesh has been playing international cricket for a long time, and they got Test status a while back. So it’s good for us to play against a team like this and see where we stand. It’s a fun contest with a solid coaching staff and some really good players in their (Bangladesh’s) ranks. We’ll make sure to take every opportunity to do well in the next match.”
When asked about potential lineup changes for the final game, Trott added, “I’m not ready to announce any changes just yet. We’ll definitely consider the conditions, players’ form, and other factors before each match. You mentioned the importance of the upcoming match, but to Afghanistan, every match is important (laughs). Just because we lost today doesn’t make the next match any more critical. Every match matters. On Monday, we’ll play a final, and the boys are looking forward to it.”
With the ODI series poised at 1-1, the stage is set for an exciting finale between two teams on November 11.
