After a successful campaign in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy has returned home. Hridoy's performance was brilliant in almost every match for Jaffna Kings. Hriday himself is happy to play well.
Another Bangladeshi Shakib Al Hasan also played in this year's LPL. He played for the Galle Titans. Hridoy was brilliant with the bat for Jaffna in the match against Galle. Hridoy also received praise from teammate David Miller in that match. After returning home after the successful LPL, Hridoy told that story.
Back in the country, Hridoy told the media at the airport, “Miller was supporting me again and again. Especially the six I hit on Shakib bhai. (Then) not just Miller, the whole team was actually saying, what a shot (laughs). Miller said it was the best shot of the day. At the end of the batting, Miller also spoke a lot about batting. He heard from me how I do things.”
Hridoy was trying to talk to Miller, but he couldn't bring himself to do it. Later Miller himself came and spoke to Hridoy. Hriday also shared that experience. He added, “Definitely liked it (Miller’s appraisal). He is a legendary cricketer. I also wanted to talk to Miller. But I didn't have the courage. Later I saw that he talked to me, then I always tried to talk to him. I tried to take as much as I could from him.”
Hridoy returned home after a successful LPL. Now he will join the national team camp to prepare himself for the Asia Cup and the World Cup.
