After having a heart attack, Bangladesh cricket star Tamim Iqbal was moved from KPJ Specialized Hospital in Savar to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.  After he got to Dhaka, many notable persons, such as Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, the Youth and Sports Advisor, and Mizanur Rahman, the owner of Fortune Barishal, went to see him in the hospital.

Mizanur Rahman, the owner of Fortune Barishal, told the reporters about Tamim's health after seeing him.  Tamim is now being thought about for more care abroad. He led Barishal to back-to-back Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) wins in the last two seasons.  Miaznur stated that plans are being made to get him to Thailand for better medical care.

Speaking at the press conference, Mizanur Rahman said, “We are trying to take him to Thailand for better treatment. I will accompany him, Insha’Allah. The final decision depends on the doctors and Tamim’s physical condition. Once the doctors give the green light, we will proceed. Until then, I urge the entire nation to keep Tamim in their prayers.”

He added, “Tamim is responding well and talking. He seems to be doing better, Insha’Allah. This incident was a huge shock, not just for us but for the entire country. We all want him to recover quickly and return stronger.”

When asked about the possible cause of Tamim’s heart attack, Mizanur Rahman shared the doctors’ assessment, stating, “According to the doctors, severe dehydration and lack of proper rest contributed to his condition. Playing Dhaka Premier League (DPL) matches in extreme heat while fasting might have made it even more difficult for him.”

Tamim had a massive heart attack at BKSP on March 24 during a DPL game.  DC shocks and CPR were used on him before he was taken to KPJ Hospital in Savar, where a stent was put in his heart to treat a blockage.
