Taijul Islam has become the only second Bangladeshi bowler to have picked up 200 wickets in Test Cricket. He reached this landmark during the first Test match against South Africa.

Taijul has been a long term server for Bangladesh in the Test Cricket, playing only 48 Test matches, he has a stack of 201 wickets at an average of 31.61 and a strike rate of 62.60.

However, South Africa are into the lead in the first Test after folding Bangladesh out for a paltry 106 runs. Protea pacers Kagiso Rabada and Wiaan Mulder shared three wicket each, also spinner Keshav Maharaj picked up three wickets to wrap up Bangladesh innings quickly.
